This is something i don't get to see frequently. My lil's poor pet named mienu( means fish) has been swimming upside down.My little one noticed in the morning and very upset presuming its gonna die.Well, it was school run time and just prayed that it stays alive till I return from school after an hour.
Back from school,had a good look on mienu,he was still breathing.The tank was filled with food( my little one fed him last night without supervision for the first time and probably done way to much).My heart just praying hope he survives.Kinda of attached to him,although don't express it to my beau! He is been with me since 4.5years.literally grown from tiny fish to big fish..With coffee in front i googled the problem and found out is called 'swim bladder'.The only reason i could relate is overfeeding.
Well, I have followed the treatment(cleaned tanked,isolated him from other fish,brought mineral water to refill) and managed to keep him alive for 12 hrs.Tomorrow he is having green peas for breakfast!!!! hope he is gonna be ok.....will keep you posted......My lil's is very upset and so am I! Do you any more tips for me? to avoid this happening again? Other than supervise feeding.Love to hear from you.

oh..poor meinu looks cute..4.5 yrs such a long time...try giving some oxygen supply, I have seen tat in huge fish tanks..
